Overview
After more than a decade away from rallying, Hyundai re-entered the WRC in 2014 with an all-new i20 WRC built to the 1.6L turbocharged regulations. Developed by Hyundai Motorsport in Alzenau, Germany, the project was a fresh start, with the goal of building a competitive and reliable platform to challenge the dominant Volkswagen, Citroën, and Ford entries of the era.
