1967 RAC Rally (United Kingdom)

Overview

Event Name: 1967 RAC Rally (Royal Automobile Club Rally)

Scheduled Date: November 1967

Planned Start/Finish Location: Harrogate, England

Planned Total Distance: Approximately 2,000 kilometers

Participating Teams (Planned): Over 130 entries

The 1967 RAC Rally was scheduled as the final round of the European Rally Championship and was expected to once again deliver a grueling challenge across Britain’s late-autumn roads. However, due to a severe outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease across the UK countryside, the rally was cancelled just days before the event was to begin. It remains one of the few times in rally history where a major championship round was entirely called off.
