Overview
The 1969 Rallye Vltava, officially the 10th edition, was a grueling asphalt rally staged in Czechoslovakia from July 4 to 6. As a qualifying round of the European Rally Championship (coefficient 3), it attracted top drivers from across Europe. Known for its fast, narrow roads and changing elevation, the event tested mechanical durability, crew precision, and strategic tire choice under pressure. Out of 93 starters, only 23 crews finished—a testament to its technical difficulty.
