Route

Mühlviertel Roads: Fast, narrow tarmac with sudden icy corners.
Night Stages: Reduced visibility amplified the danger of hidden ice.
Border Stages: Sections crossing into the Czech Republic.

Stage conditions changed hourly, catching out crews who gambled on the wrong setup.
