Overview
The Alpine A110, introduced in 1962 by Jean Rédélé's Société des Automobiles Alpine, was a revolutionary French sports coupe that redefined rally car design during the 1960s. Based on Renault mechanicals and clothed in a sleek fibreglass body over a tubular steel backbone chassis, the A110 emphasized lightness, agility, and mechanical simplicity. Developed from the earlier A108, the A110 evolved into one of the most successful rally cars of the decade, achieving factory-backed and privateer victories across Europe.
