Mount Kenya Region: High-altitude tracks with rain, mist, and rocky hazards.
Rift Valley: Dry, dusty plains riddled with stones, washouts, and wildlife.
Tsavo and Amboseli: Heat-baked roads, volcanic rocks, and punishing terrain near national parks.

The course ran through Kenya’s most diverse and unpredictable regions:

Crews navigated with road books and watched for animal crossings, flash floods, and collapsing track surfaces, making it a rally of survival more than speed.
