πŸ† Part of the WRC Championship

πŸ“ UmeΓ₯, Sweden

πŸ“… February 18, 2027 – February 21, 2027

Rally Sweden brings the World Rally Championship north to UmeΓ₯ from February 18–21 for the second round of the 2027 season. As the only event on the calendar run entirely on snow and ice, it presents a completely different challenge from the unpredictable asphalt of Monte-Carlo.

The frozen forest roads of northern Sweden are among the fastest in the championship, with studded tyres providing surprisingly high levels of grip on ice. Crews will need to carry speed through narrow, snow-lined stages where precision and commitment make all the difference. Snowbanks can help guide a car through a corner, but get too aggressive or misjudge one and there's a good chance of ending up stuck rather than gaining time.

The 2027 event will also be an early test for the new WRC27-generation cars. With only one championship round completed, teams will still be learning how their machinery performs under competitive conditions, now with the added challenge of freezing temperatures and specialized winter setups.

Rally Sweden rewards drivers willing to commit to high-speed corners with very little room for error. The grip might be better than it looks, but finding out where that grip ends can make for a very long afternoon in the snow.
